Bluebird

I kissed a new bird

The blow was glancing

Now there’s no word

Or romancing

In the moonlight

She was standing

Went the distance

We were dancing

Among all the ways to be

This one will surely see

Me to an undesirable ending

But I’ve come too far to flee, no way

It’s a new world

Without laughter

I’m undeserving

Of ever after

You wanna hear a better answer

Then you’d better learn that anybody can be bad

Instead of writing an account of all the things we said

You could of written to me

Because our time is of the innocence

The age is starting to show

Being that we’re primed for independence

When inside the older we grow

We’ve been apprised of all the pieces now

There ain’t that much more to know

Miss my bluebird

I was trusted

Penned a sword

And now it’s rusted
